It is Rob's first time with the group and i think we have a natural talent on our hands. See the finished product at the students exhibition from the 1st of June http://horticapartexhibitions.blogspot.co.uk/

David and Vicky are utilizing off cuts from pallets. The pieces will eventually be used as name tags and the design of a tree.

Here are the finished recycled waste bins we started last week. They are now available to buy in the shop as Herb Pots and Kindling containers.

The students are being very industrious today. Tom is painting text on these metal bins so we can sell them in our shop

Steven is preparing tags to put on our gift tree that will be used at our bi-annual Garden Party held in June.

Vicky is making paper bunting for our Garden party from swatches donated by James Brindleys of Harrogate

Carl is using felt tip pens and is engrossed in his linear drawings of houses.

Today Alastair has explored mark making on sandpaper.

David is drawing on glass with acrylic paints. He has been scratching the surface of the paint to reveal the clear glass beneath

Mark is exploring using pastels on different surfaces. This is helping him to become a little looser with his mark making.

Paula loves flowers and is using oil pastels to draw masses of bright patterns.

John is exploring colour through pastels, pencils and paint on different surfaces. We all agree he has a real talent where paints are concerned.

Hannah is sketching and working through ideas for her album cover! Surrealism is at the top of her agenda !

Alistair likes being by the sea. He is drawing a sea house where views of the sea can be seen. His talent is getting the most out of pressing hard on surfaces to create texture.

Paul has returned we couldn't keep him away! He as been very thoughtful since the last class and has come prepared with ideas of what he wants to draw. Every aspect of Horticap is being drawn from the diner plates in the mess hut to the dippers used in the greenhouses!

Pat has continued making willow forms. Her talent for sewing and intricate work is evident in her use of copper wire to make this web like design.

Wayne is also making some willow forms. He is getting to grips with different types of materials, wire, wool and raffia.

Carl is having a go at drawing today. His carefully thought out picture is his interpretation of a digger viewed from above.
